So, I had my Cold Steel Cutlass 1917 taken by the police. They were trying to enforce this 2-foot rule on me, but that doesn’t really apply to these handmade swords. The sword comes with documentation to prove it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t locate those papers to show the officers. I reached out to Cold Steel UK for a replacement copy. I purchased the sword through Amazon from Chicago Knife Works, and it turned out to be a hassle for Peter Schofield at Cold Steel UK to send me the documents.

Luckily, my buddy has a copy. Now, the police will have to give back my sword and drop the claims about it being an offensive weapon. Those duty solicitors will tell you about the six months in prison nonsense. Just buy from Amazon and skip dealing with Cold Steel UK. And don’t forget to make copies of the paperwork. By the way, the sword is meant for military reenactment.

The knife is top-notch, just like I anticipated from Cold Steel. It showed up fast and was well packaged for shipping. Really impressed with the service!

It looked like the boot knife was the only one that might be in stock, so I signed up to be notified. I was happy to get an email saying they had them available. I made my purchase, and it showed up quickly without any hassle. Fantastic service, and the knife was just what I was looking for. Kudos!

I received an email from Cold Steel, letting me know that their Rondel Training dagger was available again. However, when I clicked the link, it took me to a page that said I couldn't place an order because it was out of stock. I tried multiple times over the next few days, but got the same message each time.

So, I reached out to Cold Steel via email to explain the situation. They replied that it must have sold out again.

Since then, I've contacted a few retailers that carry Cold Steel products, and they all had the Rondel Trainer on back order. They mentioned that even though they received new stock from Cold Steel, the Rondel wasn't included.

I get that mistakes happen with emails—nobody's perfect—but why not just be honest in a response to a potential buyer?
